An unlikely, zany white-trash couple scam their way across Middle America. Theirs is not the “big con” but penny ante, lame and often hilarious, mis-stepped and catastrophic antics over food stamps, welfare checks and free beer. The relationships and con game get even more interesting, complex and hilarious when they pick up two, young hitchhiker-runaways who in the end might con the con.
