An 18 th Century Romance. Dialogue in Elizabethan verse, iambic petameter.

An orphan is taken in and raised by an English nobleman. He becomes best friends with the nobleman’s son and smitten with his daughter. Forbidden love exiles him to America where he’s conscripted into the British army to fight the Americans in the Revolutionary War. He’s unaware that the love of his life has been banished to a remote convent on the English coast where he’s about to become a father. On his return to England, what seemed to be, never was, and exposing this might cost him his life, and that of all he loves.
